Comprehensive framework aims to strengthen national pride, family cohesion, and shared cultural values across all segments of society
The UAE Government has unveiled the Emirati National Identity Strategy, a landmark initiative designed to preserve and promote the country’s cultural essence while fostering a deep sense of belonging among its citizens.
The strategy, developed by the Ministry of Culture in collaboration with the National Projects Office of the Presidential Court, was officially launched during the UAE Government Annual Meetings 2025 in Abu Dhabi.
Spearheaded under the guidance of the nation’s leadership, the new framework seeks to enhance national identity by emphasizing family unity, cultural heritage, and shared values that have long been the cornerstone of Emirati society.
Salem bin Khalid Al Qassimi, Minister of Culture, emphasized that the strategy represents a collective national effort to preserve the UAE’s cultural fabric amid rapid global transformation. “Our identity is our strength — it connects generations, strengthens families, and ensures that our values continue to thrive in an evolving world,” he noted.
The Emirati National Identity Strategy will serve as a roadmap for nurturing social cohesion, promoting Emirati traditions, and empowering younger generations to take pride in their roots while contributing to the country’s progress.
Through education, cultural programs, and community engagement, the strategy aims to ensure that the principles of respect, tolerance, and unity remain at the heart of the UAE’s national narrative.
As the UAE continues to advance on the global stage, the launch of this initiative underscores the nation’s commitment to preserving its identity while embracing innovation and diversity — ensuring that progress and tradition move forward hand in hand.
