Riyadh: The Esports World Cup 2025 has concluded with record-breaking achievements, underscoring Saudi Arabia’s growing influence in the global gaming and esports industry.
Over the course of seven weeks of elite competitions, the event attracted an unprecedented 750 million viewers worldwide and drew 3 million visitors to Riyadh. Competitors battled for a historic $70 million prize pool, making it the largest in esports history.
A highlight of this year’s edition was the launch of the Esports National Teams Cup, further elevating the competition by showcasing country-based teams on the global stage.
The event’s success reflects the momentum of the global esports market, which is projected to generate $4.3 billion in revenues in 2025, making it one of the fastest-growing industries worldwide.
Hosted by the Esports World Cup Foundation, the Riyadh showcase not only broke industry records but also reinforced Saudi Arabia’s ambition to become a leading hub for gaming and esports as part of its broader digital economy and youth engagement strategies.
