Arada Awards $593.6 Million Contract to Build Madar Mall in Sharjah

Spanning 3.9 million sq. ft., the landmark mall will anchor the Aljada megaproject as Sharjah’s premier retail and entertainment hub

Arada has awarded a AED2.18 billion ($593.6 million) construction contract to Dubai-based United Engineering Construction Company (UNEC) for the development of Madar Mall, the flagship retail and entertainment destination within the Aljada megaproject in Sharjah.

Covering a built-up area of 3.9 million square feet, Madar Mall will serve as the centrepiece of Madar, Aljada’s family entertainment district. Positioned as the anchor attraction, the mall is set to transform Sharjah’s retail and leisure landscape, offering a world-class mix of shopping, dining, and entertainment experiences.

The project underscores Arada’s vision to redefine lifestyle destinations in the UAE, blending modern retail concepts with community-focused entertainment. By entrusting UNEC with the construction, Arada ensures the delivery of a state-of-the-art development that meets international standards and caters to the growing demand for integrated lifestyle spaces in the emirate.
